ROBERT JORDAN

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, Carolyn Russo, the art and trophies curator from the Aeronautics Department of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, reviews November 1944 by Robert Jordan.

 

In her review she describes the techniques used in the painting, in addition to detailing the experiences  of Robert Jordan during his time  as a B-24 tail gunner in the 8th Air Force during World War II.
